Trojan Health Connection is always looking to recruit talented writers, editors, photographers, and managers. If you are interested in joining, please contact Rebecca Gao or Jessica Kuo at trojanhealthconnection@gmail.com to set-up a 15-minute interview. We recruit at the beginning of each semester, but guest writers are welcome at any point.

We’re currently closed for applications.

Feel free to visit our weekly (optional for writers/photographers, mandatory for EBoard) meetings on Wednesdays at 9 PM at RRI.

Spring recruitment begins the first week back and continues for 2 weeks.

Trojan Health Connection Editor Manager Application

Web Designer

Experience: website design experience required, wordpress experience preferred

Job Description: managing web site, uploading stories, managing online ads

*Opportunity to advance to Executive Producer

Ad Manager/Treasurer

Experience: newspaper experience required

Job Description: sell ads, manage funding/cash collection, plan fundraisers

Editors

Experience: previous editor experience required, good communicator

Job Description: manage staff of 3-5 writers, maintain effective communication between EIC and writers, assign stories, manage deadlines, instruct writers on how to write a journalism story

Staff Positions:

Photographers

Experience: no previous journalism experience required

Job Description: attend monthly meetings with photo managers, take pictures for online (biweekly) and print (every semester) publication

No written application required.

Staff Writers:

Experience: no previous journalism experience required

Job Description: Write 1-3 stories per semester, attend journalism workshops and other mandatory meetings

No written application required.

Guest Writers:

If you would like to submit an article for publication, we welcome guest writers to our staff.

Guest writers do not have to meet the 1-3 stories per semester requirement, and are welcome to set their own deadlines as long as they meet out publication deadlines.
